Hey!

I’m a journalist living in Brooklyn. I grew up in Virginia and graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in journalism and a creative writing minor (helpful!). I read and write about culture, cannabis, work life, policing, prisons, protests, health, and media. In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, reality TV, and shaping my own eyebrows.

Right now, I’m a writer-editor and worker-owner at Hell Gate. I used to write a newsletter about cop culture and social media called All Cops Are Posters, but it’s on tentative hiatus until I can afford to write for free again or someone pays me to pick it back up.

I’m also taking on freelance reporting, factchecking, copyediting and copywriting projects, as long as they don’t cut into my rigorous schedule of relaxing and having a good time with my friends. Reach out with anything that I might be at fit for—I love “taking a meeting.”
